Marco and Aili is one of the few adventurous couples that I’ve met. Marco travels the world just to run marathons and Aili, the supportive pillar, simply follows wherever he runs. By the way, Aili is part of the lovely girls I mentioned in my earlier entry about Lisa’s wedding. While we are still churning out Marco and Aili’s wedding day photographs in the digital darkroom, let me share their beautiful garden solemnisation they held earlier this year.
It was a very forgiving day, the weather was the kindest when the rain stopped just 30min before the ceremony. And what worked like a charm, credits go to the pair of Teru Teru Bozu, a little traditional hand-made doll made of white paper or cloth that Japanese farmers began hanging outside of their window by a string. This amulet is supposed to have magical powers to bring good weather and to stop or prevent a rainy day.
While not only we have their family and friends to join the ceremony, some of their guests brought pets too. This is the first time I’ve shot a pet themed wedding. Aili’s not-exactly-small bunny was definitely enjoying the moist green lawn of Hort Park, once tried to even escape into the hedge. It was truly a brilliant evening to spend, watching the sun sets as the band 53A entertained the guests. We had a great time with you. Once again thank you for the vuvuzela that you’ve gotten for us from your honeymoon. Jean and I wish both of you all the best. And talking about adventurous, we are very envious of your experience diving with the great white sharks minus the hypothermia. You’ll hear from us very soon about your wedding day photos.
